Senimili Baiculacula
Watershed Officer
Senimili Baiculacula joined WCS as a Watershed Officer in October 2023. With over a decade in the agriculture sector, she has served in the Ministry of Agriculture and Education, the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, and the Food Agriculture Organization of the UN. Her work focuses on preserving climate-resilient crops, community engagement, and disaster recovery. She is passionate about integrating scientific knowledge with traditional practices to help communities adapt to climate change. Through capacity building and conservation efforts, Senimili strives to enhance resilience and sustainable practices within local communities.

Shirignil Ram
GIS Project Assistant
Shirignil Ram joined us as our GIS intern and has progressed to a GIS Project Assistant. With a solid foundation in Geospatial Science and Information System and currently pursuing his master’s in information systems, Ram’s transition reflects his growing expertise and dedication to using geospatial tools for impactful conservation and community initiatives.

Shudha Shalini Singh
Watershed and Terrestrial Project Assistant
Shudha is a passionate environmentalist and an early career researcher, interested in climate change and sustainable development. She holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of the South Pacific, and a Masters of Environment from the University of Melbourne. She has worked in the academic and industrial sectors. Shudha joins the WCS as a Project Assistant working directly with local communities in the Ra, Tailevu and Bua provinces, supporting initiatives on nature-based solutions for strengthening climate resilience and biodiversity conservation.

Tarau Janice Taga
Coral Reef Ecologist
Janice Taga serves as a Coral Reef Ecologist with the WCS Fiji Program. She holds a Master of Science in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific. In her role, she leads and coordinates scientific marine projects and works closely with the marine team to conduct biological surveys. Her expertise includes analyzing large datasets, biological monitoring, data management, marine pollution, marine ecotoxicology and socio-economic surveys. Janice is passionate about conservation and is committed to using science-based solutions to safeguard climate-resilient coral reefs alongside communities that depend on them.
